Watch as ensemble vim Composer Mentor Emily Koh interviews the winner of this year's Composer Fellowship Program, Luke Blackburn. We look forward to working with Luke this season, and can't wait to premiere and record Luke's new flute concerto inspired by Georgia's endangered birds!

Stay tuned as Emily then interviews Anthony Green, Associate Artistic Director of Castle of our Skins. If you enjoy this week's episode, please consider donating to Castle of our Skins, a concert and educational series dedicated to celebrating Black artistry through music.

After a blind judging, the committee is excited to announce that Luke Blackburn has been selected as Ensemble Vim's composer fellow for the 2020–21 season! Luke will work alongside mentor Emily Koh in close collaboration with Ensemble Vim's musicians.

Luke Blackburn was awarded the Connected Ph.D. grant from Brandeis University to work as an assistant co-director for the famed Dinosaur Annex Music Ensemble to promote interdisciplinary concert programing to promote environmental awareness.

"We look forward to working with Luke to continue our mission of presenting contemporary music to a wide range of audiences via our interdisciplinary initiatives."
